P.F.C. Howard E. Frank

I recently won on eBay several cards mailed by P.F.C. Howard E. Frank. Howard enlisted in November 1942 in the Quartermaster Corps. The Quartermaster Corps did a range of activities from providing general supplies to graves registration. Howard was in the 30th Quartermaster Corps.

In September and October 1944, he mailed a few postcards of Normandy to Mrs. Emil Frank in Milwaukee, his mother. Below are two of the cards.

Bath’s Street in Normandy, mailed with a short note of “Closer view of a French home.”

Curious porch of the parochial church in Normandy. “More of Normandy.”
