Sunday Comic 2/23/14

Military comic cards weren’t the only popular cards mailed by soldiers in World War II, I also have a large number of nonmilitary comic cards. The above card was mailed by a soldier in April 1943 from Myrtle Beach. It shows a chicken husband arriving home and saying “Honey- you ain’t cheatin’ on me!” Upon closer inspection, you will see a duck in a red top hat sticking out in the background, and those baby chicks you first noticed aren’t chicks, but ducks!
