Anita Stewart’s Home

Anita Stewart's House

This postcard shows the home of actress Anita Stewart (born Anna Stewart), and was mailed in 1925. She was in silent films and after she retired from acting, she founded a production company. I had never heard of Anita Stewart, but I bought this card because I liked how her house looked!

She actually has a star on the Hollywood Star Walk. Some of her popular movies in the 1920s included “A Million Bid,” “In Old Kentucky,” and “Midnight Romance.” IMDb has 99 titles listed under name. She died in 1961.

A blog called Hollywoodland shows what Stewart’s house looked like in 2008 compared to a different early postcard. It claims that the house had been empty and in need of repair.
