Casino at Monte-Carlo

I found this postcard in a 25 cent box at a postcard meeting and picked it up because the colors are so beautiful and bright! This is the Monte-Carlo Casino and Gardens in Monaco. It was built in 1863, and designed by Charles Garnier, the architect of the Paris Opera. In addition to being a casino, it also houses the Monte-Carlo Opera.

The card was mailed in what looks to be 1936 to Atlantic City. The postmark is cool because it says “Monte-Carlo climat ideal tous les sports,” a.k.a. ideal climate all sports.
