“Arrived safely Mrs. H. + I am in Siegel + Cooper doing the store I had a funny dream about you all last night. I thought I met all that was at the depot last night on your corner and punched all your faces wasn’t that awful J. Lee”
J. Lee was visiting Chicago from what looks like New York and was touring Siegel & Cooper. For those unfamiliar with Siegel & Cooper, it was a department store in Chicago from 1887-c1930, and the building still exists today. Then he had an awful dream about punching everyone in the face! This message makes me laugh. The card was postmarked April 5, 1911.
