Mexico National Cupid

As some of you may have seen I did a blog post before on Charles Twelvetrees’ series National Cupids. For Christmas I got the Mexico cupid, which has been on my Wanted list.

This cupid was mailed in 1907 to Milwaukee. The handwritten message on the front reads “San Antonio Tex 5/6- Your collection would not be complete without this typical Mexican. CHW.” It sounds like the receiver of this card was a postcard collector herself.

So now I only need two more cupids- Ireland and Holland. It has only taken me about two and a half years since I bought my first cupid to complete this series!
