Series 1887 by International Art Publishing Company, commonly referred to as IAP or IAPC, shows children with baskets as packages. Clapsaddle is the artist, as many of her series are published by IAP, and I only have 2 of the 4 cards in it.
The boy on the left is peeking into a present that says “Do Not Open Before Christmas.” The poem on the bottom says “Holly and Mistletoe, young voices bright, Make merry your Christmas, add to its delight.” This card was postmarked on Christmas Eve, 1915 in NYC.
The boy on the right is holding a letter that came with his package. The note on his present says “With Best Wishes for a Merry Christmas.” No restrictions on when to open his package! The poem there reads “May you be merry, may you be gay, On this and many a Christmas Day.” This card was postmarked on Christmas Eve, 1914 in Niagra Falls.
