Friendship Firehouse, Woodbury, NJ

It is not surprising that a Woodbury postcard would be in Amelia’s collection, since she lived in Woodbury. This card shows the Friendship Fire House, which still stands today. Woodbury was incorporated as a city in 1854, and has been the County Seat in Gloucester County for over two centuries. The minutes from the first council meeting in 1854 are available online at the link above. The Friendship Fire Company dates back to 1793.

This card was postmarked in Woodbury in 1914.
