This 1918 card of the writing room in Atlantic City’s Craig Hall reads: “Dear Charlie, We arrived all safe and sound at 1 o’clock and had to wait until 6 o’clock to get our room. But it is a fine one. Private bath and can sit in the window and see the ocean. Feeling fine and eating every thing. With Love Bella (?)”
This person didn’t seem to upset that they had to wait 5 hours for their room! I guess people were a lot more patient back then. Maybe having the private bath made it worth the wait.
