Lincoln Park Zoo Animals

Some of the Chicago cards published by V.O. Hammon were animals at the Lincoln Park Zoo. A few of these cards show people in the background and they all look like they’re out of a photograph!

An elephant bathing. The sender wrote “Jumbo knows a good thing when he sees it.” Look how real the people look!

Tigers, postmarked 1917.

Zebu, postmarked 1910. Again, notice the people!

I also have the lion, zebra, foxes, and buffalo. Cards I am missing are the polar bear, leopard, and a few other random ones I have only seen once or twice.
