United States Supreme Court, Washington D.C.

This card was sent to Amelia in 1954 from her friend E. Corinne Kline. It features the Supreme Court in Washington D.C. The description on the back reads:

“The Supreme Court building, on Capitol hill, is a superb edifice of glowing white marble, in design and proportions comporting with its dignity as the home of the Supreme Court of the United States. The west facade is here shown, with the broad stairway leading up to the portico with its imposing Corinthian Columns and sculptured pediment. The inscribed dedication reads: “Equal Justice Under The Law.” The cost of the structure was $11,000,000.”
